Safety- Vehicle Evaluation Engineer

Job Description VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a Safety Vehicle Evaluation Engineer to provide support in Metro Detroit. Use your talents as an Engineer to support the development and execution of vehicle safety test programs. POSITION TYPE: Full-time, long-term contract (Minimum 8 months) with potential for direct hire based on business needs and job performance. $40.00 - $55.00 per hour based on education and years of relevant experience. Requirements of the Safety Systems Test Engineer: Engineering degree is required. Minimum 3 years of experience in Safety Engineering. Automotive OEM Experience. Experienced Engineer with proven expertise in vehicle crash and sled testing, instrumentation, and regulatory compliance Full Vehicle testing experience and a deep understanding of requirements (208,214,212,219,301,305), corresponding test procedures, and required Instrumentation. Familiar with IIHS and US NCAP testing procedures. Ability to analyze technical data, root cause issues, and write clear reports. Duties of the Safety Systems Test Engineer: Position focuses on full-vehicle and occupant safety testing, managing test properties and logistics, delivering high-quality data, and ensuring alignment with FMVSS, IIHS, and US NCAP standards. Support Vehicle Safety Engineering development and delivery of Test Program. Deliver quality test events through fixturing, test set up, test property pedigree verification. Manage, track and deliver any required test property updates and retrofits. Drive delivery of testing to project milestones. Ensure quality test reports and proper data collection. Manage parts and logistics for testing development. Deliver efficient test property usage through re-use strategies. Communicate all test results to the cross functional teams.
