Associate Medical Director (Family Practice/Pediatrics) - Sacramento, CA Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday (Day Shifts) Setting: FQHC / Community Health Outpatient Clinic Job Summary & Responsibilities: The Associate Medical Director provides clinical and operational leadership in a community health outpatient setting. This role combines direct patient care with oversight of quality improvement, clinician performance, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive primary care (Family Practice and Pediatrics) including preventive, acute, and chronic care management. Monitor clinician performance and support quality improvement initiatives. Develop and refine clinical policies, workflows, EHR templates, and referral processes. Ensure timely documentation, billing compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Education, Licensure, and Experience: MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification). Completed U.S. residency in Family Practice or Pediatrics. Board Certified in Family Practice or Pediatrics. Active, unrestricted California medical license. Minimum 3 years of outpatient primary care experience. Prior leadership experience required; FQHC experience preferred. BLS certification and eligibility for Medicare/Medi-Cal credentialing.
