Job Summary Our client is seeking a qualified Health and Wellness Manager to provide health outreach and wellness coaching. The primary responsibility is to reduce high-risk behaviors and promote healthier lifestyles through various communication methods. The role involves developing wellness programs and services in alignment with organizational goals, collaborating with internal and external resources to provide comprehensive care plans. Key Responsibilities Provide health outreach and wellness coaching via face-to-face, telephone, or telehealth technology. Utilize coaching methodologies and communication skills to encourage behavior change and healthier lifestyles. Develop and implement assessment plans to determine health and lifestyle needs. Deliver population health risk management programs and assist with designing these programs. Engage employee awareness and participation in Wellness and Health Improvement programs. Lead wellness committee meetings to secure program support. Coordinate and deliver fitness and wellness programs such as health awareness campaigns and group fitness classes. Qualifications 1 year minimum experience in health/wellness/lifestyle coaching. CPR (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire. CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) certification preferred. Health coaching certification from National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Experience Minimum of 1 year in the health/wellness/lifestyle coaching space. Skills Strong communication and coaching skills. Proficiency in implementing wellness programs and health risk management strategies. Additional Requirements Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4 days a week working 10-hour shifts each day. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances). Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)). 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
