JOB SUMMARY: The Injection Molding and Assembly Manager will oversee all daily operations of the fiber assembly and injection molding manufacturing facility, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement, maintaining facility compliance, and meeting production and quality standards. The manager will play a key role in strategic planning, process optimization, and facility management to support overall business goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing activities to achieve production targets and meet customer delivery timelines. Supervises and coordinates daily activities of personnel engaged in manufacturing parts and components in accordance with specifications and quality standards. Fosters professional growth and development of all personnel and promotes group unity, efficiency, and effectiveness by providing technical training and support. Ensure optimal utilization of equipment, materials, and human resources to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Oversee daily operations of injection molding, secondary operations, and product assembly lines to meet production schedules and performance targets. Reviews the production schedule and verifies specifications and requirements to determine the process, materials, machines, tooling requirements, and operations sequencing. Learn and understand the current standard operating procedures in place, evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and continuously develop/modify standard operating procedures for increased efficiencies in manufacturing practices. Formulates recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, as well as improve working conditions, the workforce, and overall operational efficiency and effectiveness. Evaluate capacity/forecast for infrastructure planning. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed timely. Conducts in-process inspections and verified finished parts to determine continuous piece and process quality conformance. Develop a performance-driven culture by implementing continuous improvement principles in manufacturing. Responsibilities will include: Safety On-time delivery of quality products. Pace of work and productivity, on-time clocking, reporting to workstation, lunch/break clocking, and break coverage Uniform compliance and PPE compliance Vacation planning, approval, and policy adherence Attendance verification Confer that 5s standards and good housekeeping are being met with the highest standards. Supervise, train, and mentor production supervisors, line leaders, and operators. KNOWLEDGE OF: Leadership and development skills An understanding of quality and safety practices ABILITY TO/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Must understand and follow all departmental safety rules. Read and understand written assembly instructions. Understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) ISO sections about the position. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field (preferred). 5-10 years of progressive experience in injection molding operations within a plastics manufacturing environment. Strong work and business ethics. Minimum five years' experience managing in a manufacturing environment. Proven leadership and team management abilities in a high-paced production environment. Strong knowledge of plastic processing techniques (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming). Must have strong decision-making skills supported by data collection, analysis, and statistical process control expertise. Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance standards. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and ERP/MES systems. Experience with Oracle preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands and working conditions requirements indicated below are examples of the demands that must be performed in carrying out the essential job functions. Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking (up to continuously); speaking/verbal communication, bend/stoop, twist neck and torso (frequently); air travel; frequent use of computer and telephone requiring finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
