Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate objectives as well as long-term language, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions designed to enhance communication, articulation, fluency, and swallowing abilities. Work closely alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, fostering a unified approach to patient care. Educate patients and their families to support treatment progress beyond clinical visits. Participate occasionally in inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process. Document clinical findings and treatment plans accurately in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay abreast of industry developments through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
