A variety of team members assist our residents with medication monitoring, personal hygiene and grooming, dining services, housekeeping, and laundry. The Personal Care Aide assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing and toileting, to ensure good hygiene, grooming and self-esteem ; serves meals or monitors eating/drinking, accompanies residents to various activities, assists with admission s , discharges and transfers of residents to promote continuity of care. As a developmental opportunity within the role, the Med Tech must demonstrate knowledge of the Medication Administration Cycle: including observations, reporting of changes, visits to the practitioner, recording and storage of medication, and administration and documentation of medications. Requirements for the Personal Care Aide/Med Tech: Must be 18 years of age with high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
