Job Description Supplier Performance & Sourcing Manager - Ironton, OH Location: Ironton, OH (On-site, 5 days/week) Relocation Assistance: Available Travel: Up to 20% Position Summary Vertiv is seeking a Supplier Performance & Sourcing Manager to lead supplier on-time delivery (OTD), local sourcing, and cost reduction initiatives at the Ironton plant. This is a hands-on, strategic role responsible for managing suppliers, improving measurable supply chain performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has direct experience in sourcing and supplier management within a manufacturing environment, a proven record of quantifiable performance improvements, and strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities Lead supplier performance improvement programs to drive measurable gains in OTD, cost, quality, and risk reduction. Conduct supplier business and performance reviews with Category Managers and cross-functional teams. Lead local sourcing initiatives to reduce lead time, lower costs, and improve supplier agility. Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Planning, Materials Management, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to improve supplier evaluation, transfer projects, and flex programs. Implement and enforce supplier compliance programs, ensuring timely corrective actions. Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses to support sourcing strategies and negotiations. Identify process gaps and drive Lean / Continuous Improvement initiatives. Build and maintain supplier relationships to optimize supply chain performance. Minimum Required Qualifications Candidates must meet all of the following: 3-5 years: Leading supplier performance improvement programs with measurable results in OTD, cost, or quality in a manufacturing environment. 3-5 years: Managing local sourcing initiatives and supplier localization projects to improve lead time, cost, and agility. 3-5 years: Managing 3PLs or supplier performance, including QBRs, SLAs, and scorecards. 3-5 years: Performing data analysis and TCO calculations to drive sourcing or procurement decisions. 3-5 years: Leading supplier improvement or sourcing projects with cross-functional teams. Education: BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. On-Site Requirement: Must work 5 days/week at Ironton, OH plant. Travel: Eligible for up to 20% travel in the Americas region. Note: Candidates must meet all minimum technical and experience requirements; partial or unrelated experience will not qualify. Preferred Qualifications ISM or APICS certification. Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Certified). Experience implementing supplier risk mitigation and resiliency programs. Strong English communication and collaboration skills in a matrixed organization. Ability to lead moderately complex sourcing events. Continuous improvement mindset with ability to drive change across stakeholders. Success Metrics Supplier OTD: Measurable improvement (e.g., +5-10%). Cost Reduction: Documented savings from sourcing and supplier localization initiatives. Supplier Compliance: Reduction in corrective action timelines and non-compliance incidents. Lead Time & Agility: Reduced material lead times and improved supply chain responsiveness. TCO Impact: Data-driven reductions in total cost of ownership for critical commodities. Physical & Environmental Demands On-site, office and plant environment; standard physical requirements of a manufacturing site.
