Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer on behalf of our client, a manufacturer specializing in silent chain drives and related products. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements within a manufacturing environment to enhance efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce operational costs. The Process Improvement Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Identify opportunities for process improvement within manufacturing operations and assist in designing and implementing effective solutions Analyze equipment, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance Ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards across assigned programs and processes Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to troubleshoot process or product issues and implement corrective actions Partner with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical challenges Support development of new manufacturing methods to improve product quality and process efficiency Assist in creating project plans, timelines, and cost estimates for improvement initiatives Recommend and evaluate materials, equipment, and manufacturing practices used in projects Assess vendor capabilities, resources, and performance as part of improvement initiatives Track project progress and report key performance metrics to leadership Compare actual project costs against estimates and prepare periodic progress and cost reports Ensure compliance with applicable codes, guidelines, and best practices Support Engineering Department initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field required Experience: 5-10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer Experience within metal product or component manufacturing environments preferred Experience with batch processing environments Experience supporting continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing initiatives Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Project management capabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Certifications: None required Knowledge: Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies PLC systems experience Machine tool programming and operation preferred CAD software knowledge (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks) SAP experience Time study analysis techniques ISO-9000 standards and quality systems Use of hand tools, gauging equipment, and manufacturing processes Key Competencies: Continuous improvement mindset Strong attention to detail Technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis Cross-functional collaboration Process optimization and efficiency focus Adaptability in a manufacturing environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously How to Apply: To apply for this position, please click the "Apply" button at the top right of your screen.
