As a Speech Language Pathologist in the vibrant community of Raleigh, your impact goes far beyond treating communication and swallowing disorders. You have the chance to unlock individual potential, rekindle self-esteem, and foster connections that span generations - from young children discovering their voices to older adults reclaiming their independence. This role presents an unmatched opportunity to work with individuals of all ages in a setting that seamlessly integrates outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient assistance. Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies. Create individualized treatment strategies that address both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy interventions that focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, ensuring cohesive care strategies. Educate patients and families to enhance ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions. Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, promoting comprehensive care throughout the treatment process. Maintain detailed and timely documentation according to state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay updated with advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for diverse age groups, with an in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to modify therapeutic techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills. Competence with electronic medical records and documentation requirements. Benefits Attractive compensation reflecting your experience and expertise. Flexible work arrangements that promote a healthy work-life balance and diverse caseloads. Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. Professional development support including continuing education reimbursement. An inclusive, team-oriented working environment focused on excellence in care and ongoing learning. Join a Journey That Inspires Growth In this role, your contribution goes beyond delivering speech therapy; you'll become part of a compassionate mission dedicated to amplifying voices, enhancing communication, and creating joyous moments through life's simplest gestures: the act of being understood. Collaborate with passionate clinicians who see each other as family, working in an environment that champions unity rather than rivalry. Every patient carries a unique story; we trust you to help narrate their compelling journey.
