Data Analyst

Vaco is partnering with a large enterprise healthcare organization on a high impact Data Analyst opportunity supporting corporate reporting and analytics. This role sits within a tight knit, long tenured team and plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and actionable healthcare data for internal operational stakeholders. This is a true Data Analyst role. It is not a BI or dashboard only position. The right candidate enjoys digging into data, owning SQL queries end to end, validating data quality, and translating real business questions into reliable reporting. Role Details Title Data Analyst  Contract Duration 6 months with strong intent to convert Hours 40 per week Location Fully Remote -Work Schedule Pacific Time hours required Start Date ASAP once background, credit, and drug screen clear Why This Role Is Open: This role is a replacement for permanent staff and is critical due to redistributed workload across the team. The group is prioritizing quality and long term fit after prior hiring misses. What You Will Do: Write, own, and optimize complex SQL Server queries Build and maintain SSRS reports supporting healthcare operations and finance Analyze healthcare data with a strong understanding of business context Validate data accuracy, compliance, and reporting quality Partner closely with business, quality, and IT stakeholders Document logic, data sources, and reporting methodology Follow issues end to end rather than handing off incomplete work Top Required Skills (must have all)  - Advanced SQL Server experience including complex queries, joins, and schema understanding - Strong SSRS reporting experience - Healthcare data analysis experience including claims or financial data Ability to translate business needs into accurate and compliant reporting Nice to Have: - MEDITECH experience - IBM AS 400 exposure What They Are Looking For: Roughly 60 percent hands on SQL and 40 percent analytical problem solving Strong ownership and accountability Natural curiosity with data and business processes Clear communication with non technical stakeholders Ability to learn the data deeply rather than repeatedly asking the same questions Team and Culture: Long tenured team Highly collaborative environment with strong knowledge sharing Casual culture with high expectations and strong work ethic Team values follow through and reliability Contract and Work Expectations: 6 month contract to hire with strong preference to convert Fully remote but Pacific Time hours are required Occasional Thursday evening production deployments Possible weekend work during tight deadlines Compensation  Pay Rate 58.59 per hour   Why This Opportunity High impact healthcare analytics role Direct exposure to enterprise clinical and financial data Stable contract environment Very tight knit and experienced teamDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
