Job Description: Home Infusion Registered Nurse Purpose Statement As a Home Infusion Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient autonomy by providing infusion therapy directly in patients' homes and other care settings such as nursing homes and outpatient clinics. This position requires a unique blend of clinical skills and compassion, ensuring that adult patients receive the highest quality of treatment tailored to their needs. Your primary focus will be on infusing various therapies including IVIG, monoclonal antibodies, enzyme replacement, and clotting factors. You'll be instrumental in delivering patient-centered care that fosters positive health outcomes. This position reports to the Area Director of Infusion Services. Required Education and Experience Valid RN license required. Minimum of 3 years nursing experience. Exceptional IV skills and a strong desire to work closely with patients. Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a home care context. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation. Candidates should have a passion for patient interaction and care. Desirable to have experience in critical care settings. At least 1 year of experience in hospital infusion therapy or home infusion therapy preferred. Certification in infusion therapy (CRNI) is a plus. Preferred expertise includes pediatrics and adult medical care. Responsibilities Administer comprehensive infusion therapies according to physician orders and protocols. Monitor and assess patients throughout infusion therapy to ensure their safety and treatment effectiveness. Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, side effects, and self-care strategies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians and pharmacists to create tailored patient care plans. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, addressing both physical and emotional health factors. Accurately document all patient care activities, treatment plans, and results promptly. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with industry practices and guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned. Work Environment This role involves travel to patients' homes or other clinical settings as required. The position includes on-call responsibilities during various times, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays in accordance with the employee agreement.
