Prototype Machinist - Direct Hire

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer - Prototype Machinist to join our dynamic team in Hanover Park, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality prototypes and production runs. Responsibilities Program CNC mills (3-4 axis VMC) and lathes (2-4 axis) to produce precision parts. Set up machines for production runs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Utilize GD&T to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately. Write and modify G-Code and M-Code as necessary for various machining operations. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and reduce lead times. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Machinist. Strong knowledge of GD&T principles. Proficiency in G-Code and M-Code programming. Experience with CNC mills (3-4 axis VMC) and CNC lathes (2-4 axis). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification is a plus.
