DVM Student Externship- Cat Hospital of Metairie

Practice At Cat Hospital of Metairie, we provide a broad spectrum of feline-focused veterinary services and diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also consult with local veterinary hospitals and specialists when additional diagnostics or treatments are warranted. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, an in-hospital surgery suite, in-house X-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels. Position Purpose Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice. Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed. Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
