Become a part of a dynamic team in AmeriCorps NCCC, a full-time, limited-term volunteer service program designed for enthusiastic young adults. As a FEMA Volunteer Corps Member for a 10-month term, you will have the opportunity to: Collaborate with a diverse team of 8-12 motivated young adults Explore various locations across the country, with all expenses covered Engage in 3-6 meaningful service projects with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), focusing on disaster mitigation, planning, preparedness, and response. Projects may include connecting disaster survivors with benefits, managing supply warehouses, evaluating emergency shelters, and more. Receive the Segal Education Award, which can be utilized for educational expenses or qualified student loans Benefits Transportation, housing, and meals provided Receive a bi-weekly living stipend (approximately $430 per month) Enjoy paid leave, sick leave, and emergency leave Access a limited health benefit plan Earn a Segal Education Award of $7,395, applicable towards educational expenses or qualified loans Participate in training for Microsoft products and Emergency Management courses Gain invaluable experience in an office setting Build a professional network and acquire hands-on experience in the field of Emergency Management Qualifications U.S. citizenship is required Aged between 18-24 Willingness to travel throughout the United States and U.S. territories Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Time commitment: 40 hours per week from February to November 2026 This is an entry-level position—no degree or prior work experience is necessary to apply
