Summary: Join Meta Reality Labs as a New Product Introduction (NPI) Materials Program Manager, where you will play a critical role in shaping our material strategy, overseeing the material budget, ensuring material readiness, and addressing material excess and obsolescence. You will drive pre-production material planning, forecasting, and supply readiness to support new product development and supply qualification for all Reality Labs products from proof of concept through design verification testing. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including TPM, EE, GSM, PD, PCE, OPM, and Contract Manufacturers to ensure NPI build readiness, tackle component shortages, and devise supply solutions that minimize risks and recover shortages effectively. Work closely with Contract Manufacturers, Engineering, PCE, and GSM to explore sourcing opportunities, including multiple or alternate sources, and facilitate Risk Buy approvals and procurement kickoffs. Partner with Hardware Engineering and Contract Manufacturing to create a robust configuration plan aimed at qualifying suppliers and simplifying manufacturing processes. Monitor NPI material expenditures against the engineering budget, actively managing excess and obsolescence throughout the product development cycle. Conduct regular CTB reviews to address material shortages proactively in collaboration with GSM, Planning, OPM, and Quality teams. Oversee daily operations and communication with external partners, including Contract Manufacturers and distributors, serving as the escalation point for urgent issues. Lead the transition of the supply chain from engineering phases to volume production, managing BOM release timelines and ensuring closure on component detail alignment with cross-functional teams and GSM. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in material management, supply chain, or purchasing within a high-volume hardware industry. Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities in managing the complexities of multiple manufacturing sites. Familiarity with Engineering component Matrices to effectively drive product qualification. Experience in managing high-volume consumer electronics product launches. Strong track record of building relationships and fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ability to develop data models independently or work with IT teams to design and enhance tools and systems for improved efficiency. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in data-driven problem-solving and decision-making, including skills in advanced modeling and predictive analytics using tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, or Tableau. Experience navigating complex supply chains with prior OEM/ODM/JDM management experience. Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare and present information to leadership effectively. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations Engineering, or related fields.
