Community Operations Assistant | Job Overview In the role of Community Operations Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring the daily successes of the community. Your responsibilities will range from leasing and resident relations to managing financial tasks such as rent collection and lease renewals. By collaborating closely with the Community Manager, you will lead by example, resolve resident issues, and create a supportive environment for both the team and the community to thrive! Community Operations Assistant | Education, Experience, and License Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: Two years of property management experience preferred Six months of previous assistant community management experience preferred Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License A Certified Apartment Leasing Professional Accreditation (CALP) is a plus Community Operations Assistant | Key Responsibilities Leasing & Occupancy Assist in leasing initiatives by conducting tours, responding to inquiries, and guiding prospects through the leasing process Identify prospective residents' needs, showcase available apartments, and encourage them to join the community Ensure timely and accurate completion of lease applications, renewals, and pertinent documentation Achieve occupancy goals through exceptional leasing performance and resident retention Create and manage engaging content for the community's social media platforms to promote events and encourage resident participation Maintain a clean, welcoming environment by ensuring the office, amenities, and common areas are well-presented Financial & Administrative Oversee processes related to rent collection, check scanning, and payment posting for accuracy and timeliness Monitor delinquencies, conduct weekly follow-up calls, and coordinate eviction processes when necessary Conduct regular ledger reviews to ensure accuracy in billing and payments Assist with financial documentation for the Community Manager and regional leadership Leadership & Team Support Step into a leadership role when the Community Manager is unavailable, ensuring team momentum continues Foster a positive and productive work environment through clear communication and goal setting Prioritize daily tasks to guarantee smooth operations and exceptional resident service Address resident concerns efficiently while maintaining professionalism and empathy What Makes Someone Excel in This Role? Work Schedule: Office Hours: Our leasing office operates Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. One weekday off will be provided each week to maintain a 40-hour work schedule. Evening and weekend availability may be required for resident events or based on community needs.
