Job Description Join our team as a Commercial Parts Specialist, a vital role focused on driving the success of our commercial business through exceptional customer relationships and sales performance. In partnership with the General Manager, you will lead a dedicated team while leveraging your extensive automotive knowledge to ensure the profitability and growth of our commercial operations. Key Responsibilities Foster and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers. Deliver a top-tier selling experience to commercial clientele. Meet or exceed personal and store sales goals. Provide day-to-day guidance and support to team members. Collaborate with the General Manager to identify coaching and development opportunities for staff. Oversee the dispatch and delivery process to meet service standards. Manage commercial stocking programs effectively. Build a robust network of second source suppliers to enhance inventory options. Additional Responsibilities Monitor core bank and manage commercial returns. Oversee commercial credit accounts. Work with the General Manager to ensure proper driver coverage. Success Factors Ability to communicate effectively and build interpersonal relationships. Expertise in locating and stocking automotive parts. Strong safety knowledge and skills. Proficiency in operating inventory systems and store equipment. Advanced knowledge of parts and automotive systems. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) and parts lookup systems. ASE P2 certification preferred or equivalent qualifications. Competence in providing high-quality recommendations for solutions and products. Ability to multi-task efficiently while staying organized. Effective communication, listening, and problem-solving skills. Essential Skills for Success A working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics, including engines, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust systems, etc. Proficient in English (Spanish is a plus) with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with customers and colleagues. Able to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of executing instructions in various formats, including written, verbal, or diagrams. Competent in basic math operations and using Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel). Strong organizational skills. Understanding of commercial profitability concepts and pricing strategies. Willingness to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as required. Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts is preferred. Demonstrated sales abilities with relevant customer transaction experience. Experience in team leadership and achieving collective goals. Education High school diploma or GED is required. Physical Demands This role involves significant walking and standing, and candidates must be able to use hands for handling and manipulating parts. The ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally is required. Specific vision abilities necessary for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work Environment Most work is conducted indoors, with some outdoor tasks that may expose employees to various weather conditions. Candidates may encounter moving mechanical parts, toxic chemicals, and other environmental factors. The noise level is typically moderate. This position is eligible for a sales commission based on individual or store performance. Compensation Range The compensation for this role is between $21.95 and $24.15 per hour for new team members, depending on geographical location, experience level, automotive knowledge, education, and leadership experience.
