As a key player in this position, you will focus on backend development for Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Cloud Development Kit (CDK), and pipelines that cover the entire SCADA Infrastructure and Platform lifecycle. By abstracting SCADA deployment and configuration, you will enhance the developer experience for SCADA application developers and system integrators with a commitment to engineering excellence, reliability, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying the Ignition SCADA Platform utilizing modern DevOps practices at scale. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement robust backend infrastructure for Ignition SCADA platform deployments. Develop CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using best DevOps practices for SCADA system provisioning. Create automated deployment frameworks and configuration tools specifically for Ignition SCADA applications. Architect cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure solutions that support OT/IT convergence and scalability of SCADA systems. Develop backend services, APIs, and data integration layers that facilitate SCADA application and manufacturing interoperability. Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to maintain the health and performance of the SCADA platform. Establish security frameworks and compliance controls for OT infrastructure based on industry best practices. Create self-service infrastructure provisioning tools and keep detailed technical documentation for deployment processes. Lead troubleshooting efforts and conduct root cause analysis for infrastructure issues impacting SCADA availability. Support operations by automating infrastructure, minimizing manual interventions, and enhancing reliability. Promote continuous improvement in infrastructure deployment speed, reliability, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with production, engineering, IT, and procurement teams to manage escalations and ensure swift incident resolution. Basic Qualifications: Experience optimizing, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. Experience with the CI/CD pipeline build processes. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems for reliability and scalability. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distributed systems at scale. Experience in building services utilizing AWS products. Knowledge in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and systems engineering. Experience with AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps setting. Familiarity with front-end languages like JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Knowledge of database systems and SQL. Our highly collaborative team within the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) group is focused on designing and commissioning automation and tools for satellite testing and production. This dedicated team works closely with satellite designers, testers, and manufacturing engineers to tackle unique challenges in high-volume satellite production. This position is expected to be in-person five days a week, and will require participation in on-call and weekend rotations tailored to align with Leo production shifts. Now is the time to forge a path in a groundbreaking field. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for innovative automation technology, we encourage you to apply!
