Job Overview Shriners Children's Greenville has a full time Department Assistant (Radiology) position available. This position is responsible for managing the Radiology reception office, while providing quality care, customer service, and support to patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities This position will provide receptionist and clerical support for the Radiology department, including: Provides courteous and cooperative service to patients/families/staff Greets customers promptly and pleasantly Distributes mail, messages, and work orders in a timely fashion Ensures efficiency of daily operations of department through patient flow scheduling Accurately and appropriately relays messages, communicates with staff, and handles incoming/outgoing phone calls within the department Processes correspondence, patient records and outside consult results in a timely manner Coordinates availability of patient records for outside studies, conferences, and consultations Records/ verifies data and creates reports as applicable Downloads CDs and scans reports into PACS Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma/GED Required Associate's degree preferred Experience: 2 years administrative assistant/clerical support required 1 year of Microsoft Office Applications required 1 year of medical terminology preferred BLS certification required within 6 months of employment Shriners Children's is an EOE/Drug-Free, Smoke-Free Workplace.
