Sharpe Engineering & Equipment is on the lookout for a skilled Lead Electrical & Controls Engineer to take charge of designing, programming, and integrating state-of-the-art automation and electrical systems specifically for food & beverage processing projects. This pivotal technical role will not only ensure excellence in electrical design but also support commissioning efforts while collaborating with diverse teams to deliver solutions that are safe, reliable, and high-performing. Key Responsibilities Lead comprehensive electrical design efforts including schematics, panel layouts, power distribution, and motor control systems. Develop and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, with a preference for Rockwell systems. Generate control narratives, I/O lists, and functional descriptions to ensure clarity and precision. Supervise contractors and integrators during installation, testing, and commissioning phases. Work collaboratively with engineering teams to bring fully integrated solutions to fruition. Maintain and enhance electrical and controls standards while spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior engineers and designers, championing safety and quality standards. Willingness to travel to client sites for installation support, commissioning, and fieldwork (20-30% travel required). Why Join Sharpe? Requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required). 7+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, automation, and controls integration. Strong expertise with Rockwell Automation platforms (PLC/HMI/SCADA). Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, along with knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, and related codes. Experience in coordinating contractors and overseeing field commissioning processes. Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Valid U.S. driver's license required; eligibility for a passport is preferred.
