We are looking for an innovative Global Sales Executive to lead our NDB go-to-market strategy. In this vital leadership position, you will play a major role in cementing our presence in the database market, driving revenue growth, and positioning Nutanix as a thought leader in the DBaaS sector. About the Team The NDB Specialist Sales Team is central to Nutanix's strategic growth, having contributed significantly to our success with some of the world's largest companies. Collaborative Environment: Our global team spans North America, EMEA, and APJ, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where members work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, Core Sales, and Channel teams. Your Role As the Global Sales Executive for NDB, you will be a key player in transforming the database industry. Your objectives include promoting the value of NDB, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and driving strategic partnerships with enterprise customers. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market plan for the NDB business while tracking pipeline generation, bookings targets, and customer adoption. Sales and Revenue Ownership: Take responsibility for the global sales numbers, revenue targets, and sales forecasts for NDB, aiming to enhance customer value, shorten sales cycles, and effectively compete in the market. Team Development: Lead a matrixed team of skilled database sales specialists, focusing on hiring, mentoring, and nurturing top talent. Market Influence: Be Nutanix's voice in the database sector by representing our vision at industry events and high-level customer meetings while establishing a strong brand presence. Partnership Development: Collaborate with ecosystem partners, including database vendors, cloud providers, and GSIs, to expand market reach. Sales Enablement: Work with our enablement teams to create a thorough training strategy that equips sellers with the ability to articulate the challenges Nutanix addresses and our unique advantages. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with Product Management and Engineering to steer the NDB roadmap based on customer feedback and market demands, ensuring that our products enhance deal acceleration. What You Will Bring We seek an accomplished and driven Senior Director to lead our Global NDB Sales team. Reporting to Global Sales leadership, you will be at the forefront of our go-to-market endeavors for Nutanix's flagship database solution. Expertise in Databases: You should possess significant experience within the database and DBaaS market, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of database technologies, data management trends, and competitive landscapes. Sales Leadership: A minimum of 10 years of quota-carrying experience in enterprise software sales, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role within a fast-paced, global environment. Successful GTM Execution: A solid track record of developing and implementing successful go-to-market strategies that drive significant revenue growth for emerging product lines in the enterprise software arena. Industry Authority: Proven experience as a market evangelist, engaging audiences at industry events, communicating with analysts, and crafting a strong brand narrative. Complex Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiating large, intricate software contracts with enterprise clients. Entrepreneurial and Collaborative Mindset: As a humble leader with a proactive approach, you are a self-starter who thrives in collaborative settings and takes initiative when needed. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required; an MBA is preferred. Willingness to travel up to 50% for both domestic and international engagements. Work Arrangement This role is primarily remote, with no specific office requirements unless business needs necessitate in-person meetings or travel to other locations. The On-Target Earnings (OTE) Pay Range for this position starts between USD $368,000 and USD $552,000 annually. Base pay may vary based on individual factors like market location, knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and a full range of benefits, including medical, financial, and 401(k) eligibility, along with various paid time off options. If hired, you will be in an 'at-will position.' The company reserves the right to adjust compensation based on performance and market factors.
