As a Patient Access Coordinator I, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, families, and external customers, setting the tone for high-quality service. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all clinical and financial data is accurately captured, which is essential for the seamless operation of our healthcare services. You will be handling a range of processes, including patient identification, scheduling, registration, financial clearance, and more. This position requires a compassionate individual who can communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Independently conduct scheduling, registration, and admitting functions at the bedside, ensuring accurate validation of patient demographics and insurance information. Calculate financial responsibilities, collect payments, and manage post-payment transactions within the ADT system. Deliver an exceptional patient experience by maintaining positive interactions and communication with all patients and healthcare personnel. Foster collaborative relationships with healthcare staff to ensure confidentiality and accurate information dissemination. Remain composed and professional in stressful situations, addressing inquiries and assisting patients, visitors, and staff as needed. Adhere to organizational policies, complete necessary training, and participate in ongoing education opportunities. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the team. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required; relevant experience or training is a plus. Proficient in PC use and familiar with software applications. A minimum of one year experience in a medical, financial services, or customer service role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.
