We invite applications for the position of Part-Time Medical Terminology Instructor. This opportunity is part of our ongoing Adjunct Instructor Pools, which allows us to identify qualified candidates for future part-time teaching roles. Position Overview: Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in the discipline or have completed 18 credits in Medical Terminology. A minimum of five years of teaching experience is required, preferably at the college level. We value diverse teaching expertise and encourage applicants with experience in instructional technology. Key Responsibilities: Deliver courses in Medical Terminology, which may include day, evening, and online formats at the main campus and extension centers. Classes must start and end on time. Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters student success and maximizes learning outcomes. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation related to student learning and course administration. Grade assignments promptly and constructively, providing detailed feedback to promote student development, while adhering to institutional deadlines for final grades. Offer educational support during assigned office hours or by appointment to assist students effectively. Encourage students to complete course evaluations and utilize feedback to enhance course delivery and student experience. Stay current in professional practices, including necessary compliance training. Perform additional duties as assigned by the department. Physical and Mental Requirements: Mental Demands: Ability to manage detailed work, maintain student contact, meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and confidentiality. Physical Demands: Duties may involve standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Work Environment: The role may involve exposure to various conditions, including humidity, fumes, and moderate noise levels. The position may require travel to different campus locations.
