Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a bilingual (Spanish) Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic team supporting our efforts in Orange and Rockland Counties, NY. This position is ideal for HR professionals with a strong background in union relations. Essential Job Summary: As the HR Business Partner, you will work closely with our leadership team to execute HR initiatives, providing essential support to employees while driving excellence in HR processes. Your role will be critical in fostering a positive work environment and improving employee engagement and retention. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective strategies to reduce turnover and absenteeism; collaborate with teams to ensure timely hiring and onboarding of new talent. Provide expert guidance and coaching to managers and employees; enhance manager training in areas such as employee advocacy, engagement, positive relations, and career development. Proactively address employee issues and guide managers in compliant resolution, ensuring investigations are conducted promptly and effectively. Ensure all HR policies and practices are ethical, compliant, and aligned with legal requirements; assist in drafting and implementing these policies. Facilitate the completion of employee engagement initiatives, ensuring that managers harness engagement results to take actionable steps within their teams. Act as the HR lead for labor relations, managing grievances and union contract strategies and negotiations. Lead or assist in special HR projects across multiple client areas as needed. Requirements: 5-7 years of overall HR experience with 3-5 years focused on unionized workforces; bachelor’s degree is required. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Demonstrated integrity and judgment; able to handle sensitive matters discreetly and effectively. A collaborative team player with a strong commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture. Strong analytical skills with a focus on innovative HR solutions and process improvement. Solid problem-solving aptitude: capable of making data-driven decisions and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Thorough knowledge of local labor laws and regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and HRIS tools; PHR/SPHR certification is a plus. Willingness to travel to various IWS sites within the market area on a weekly basis. Salary Range: USD $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
