Position Description Are you ready to be the driving force behind the seamless operations of our industrial facility? Join our team at Applied Medical as a Plant Operations Technician! In this role, you will test, maintain, and optimize water chemistry for cooling towers and process water loops. You will also be responsible for maintaining our RO systems. Key Responsibilities: Water treatment, RO Systems Maintenance, and Testing: Conduct water testing, maintain, install, and repair related equipment. Use of water testing equipment and measuring tools. Provide service and maintenance for equipment independently, ensuring a seamless and reliable operation. Conduct inspections, tests, and mathematical calculations related to system integrity and performance, showcasing proficiency in material handling, water testing, and RO system operations. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production interruptions. Safety Compliance: Adhere to and promote safety protocols and regulations within the facility. Participate in safety inspections, ensuring a secure and compliant working environment. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and other technicians, to address complex operational challenges. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless coordination. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Implement best practices to enhance overall plant operations. Position RequirementsMore than 2+ years of related experience Experience using hand and power tools Ability to lift more than 50 pounds Utilize experience and expertise in water treatment and RO systems maintenance and repairs Demonstrate familiarity with central plant and manufacturing plant operations Apply knowledge of construction methods for institutional, industrial, and commercial structures Knowledge of California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal OSHA) safety requirements PreferredDetail-oriented with a focus on precision in maintenance tasks Plant operations and central plant systems experience is a plus Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of plant operations and maintenance Initiative to suggest and implement process improvements for optimized plant performance Strong organizational skills and a systematic approach to tasks Join our team as a Plant Operations Technician and be a key contributor to the reliability, safety, and success of our manufacturing operations.
