Lead Senior Designer

Base Pay This position offers a minimum hourly pay starting at $16.78, with the potential for higher earnings based on your experience. Purpose: As the Lead Senior Designer at Floor & Decor, you will spearhead our design team to deliver exceptional consultative design services, forging lasting relationships and brand loyalty with our valued customers. You'll engage with clients, understand their unique project requirements, educate them on necessary components, and create stunning design concepts that reflect their personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements BA or AA in Interior Design, or a solid combination of education and experience totaling 6 years. A minimum of 6 years of interior design experience may substitute formal education. Preferred experience in retail/sales. Familiarity with hard surface flooring is advantageous. Strong mathematical skills. Self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. For internal candidates, a minimum of 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer role is required. Essential Functions Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain lasting relationships with both residential and professional clients. Provide a warm greeting to customers entering the store and assist with their design needs. Schedule design consultations for current and potential clients, cultivating a clientele through networking and referrals. Offer expert advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects. Design and sell comprehensive, functional, and visually appealing solutions. Oversee multiple customer projects concurrently, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and thorough communication. Collaborate with store leadership and team members to manage projects from initial inquiry through installation while achieving sales targets. Support company initiatives and objectives by demonstrating and guiding best practices among team members. Stay informed on current and emerging design trends in the market. Gain proficiency in design applications such as Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject. Engage with local professional organizations like ASID and NKBA. Perform additional duties as required. Working Conditions Occasional travel by car may be necessary. The work environment will often involve exposure to a warehouse setting and moving vehicles, with noise levels ranging from moderate to noisy. Physical/Sensory Requirements The role requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing between 20 to 50 pounds, and frequently handle items weighing 10 to 25 pounds. The employee will need to utilize their hands for various tasks and may occasionally stand, walk, reach, climb, or balance.
