As a Lead AI Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and developing AI applications aimed at automating, optimizing, and securing network infrastructures. Your expertise in Python, machine learning frameworks, and networking protocols will be essential as you tackle projects like self-provisioning and self-healing networks. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable systems for AI/ML model training and serving. Research and integrate cutting-edge advancements in AI and inference systems to enhance software solutions for efficient network management. Evaluate and optimize performance across the technology stack, focusing on latency and resource utilization for both training and inference workloads. Lead initiatives in AI systems design, emphasizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs). Develop scalable services and tools to enable GPU-accelerated AI pipelines using Python/Go and observability frameworks. Required/Preferred Experience: Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector search, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning. Familiarity with data engineering tools like Spark, Kafka, Flink, and OCI Streaming/Data Flow. Solid knowledge of distributed systems and large-scale training/inference techniques. Experience with network telemetry tools including NetFlow and packet captures. Proficient in network automation frameworks such as Terraform and Ansible; knowledge of NAPALM and Batfish is a plus. Familiarity with containerization, model serving, GPU workflows, CI/CD, and MLOps tools. Exceptional skills in writing design documents, feature scoping, and managing end-to-end project delivery. Required Education and Work Experience: A bachelor's degree in BSEE, BSCS, BSCE, or a related field is required. A master's degree in MSEE, MSCS, or MSCE is preferred. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development, specifically focused on AI applications and model training. Salary and Benefits: Eligible candidates can expect a competitive salary ranging from $96,800 to $223,400 per year, along with bonuses and equity options.
