JOB SUMMARY: As a Retail Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both associates and customers. Your responsibilities include greeting customers with warmth, monitoring store safety protocols, and collaborating with store leadership to minimize operational shortages while mitigating theft and fraud. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring a Safe Environment: Prioritize safety in all aspects of your role while assisting store leadership in upholding a secure environment. Maintain a visible presence at store entrances and the sales floor, welcoming customers and monitoring compliance with safety protocols. Ensure pathways are clear for emergency exit access. Building Great Teams: Provide exceptional customer service through friendly greetings and helpful interactions. Respect and treat all customers and associates with professionalism. Engage with team members and participate in meetings to promote teamwork. Preventing Theft: Observe and report suspicious behavior to prevent theft on the sales floor and at entrances/exits. Communicate indicators and trends of theft to store and loss prevention leadership. Adhere to company policies regarding theft response and follow best practices for operational efficiency. Reducing Operational Shortage: Educate associates on loss prevention initiatives and emphasize the importance of adhering to proper checkout procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent; an AA degree is preferred. One year of retail supervisory experience is preferred. Experience in loss prevention or security training is beneficial. Active Security Guard License is a plus. Proficiency in thriving within a fast-paced environment with outstanding communication skills. Strong customer service skills and conflict resolution capabilities. Must comply with legal regulations for security roles, including background checks and potential drug testing. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lift objects exceeding 25 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch regularly as required by daily operations.
