POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for both our Associates and Customers. You will deter theft and fraud by maintaining a visible presence at store entrances and on the sales floor, while delivering exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensure Safety: Prioritize safety in all actions and support Store Leadership in creating a secure atmosphere. Greet customers with eye contact and a smile at all entrances and throughout the store. Maintain clear emergency exits and a clutter-free shopping environment. 2. Build Relationships: Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with shoppers in a friendly and professional manner. Treat every customer and colleague with respect and courtesy. Participate actively in team meetings and recognize the contributions of others. 3. Prevent Theft: Monitor customer behavior for signs of potential theft and report any issues. Collect and communicate information that can help identify theft patterns. Follow company policies regarding theft response and comply with all best practices. 4. Reduce Operational Shortage: Promote awareness and training among Associates on strategies to minimize shrinkage. Ensure proper transaction processes during checkout. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred. At least one year of experience in retail supervision or a similar role is preferred. Experience in loss prevention or security is a plus. Active Security Guard License is preferred. Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations for security positions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regular and timely attendance. Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift. Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs. Willingness to bend, stoop, or crouch as needed.
