Home Based US As the Executive Director of Project Management and Patient Safety, you will take charge of leading and managing Parexel's Patient Safety initiatives. This pivotal role involves overseeing our Patient Safety Project Leadership Organization, where you will collaborate with senior management, clients, and project teams to ensure effective delivery of Patient Safety Services. Your leadership will be vital in driving operational planning, promoting continuous process improvements, and significantly shaping the Business Unit's strategy and direction. You will also be instrumental in the proposal development and business generation processes at the project level. Key Responsibilities: Leadership Lead the Patient Safety Project Leadership function, setting strategic direction and ensuring delivery against goals. Guide initiatives across the department, facilitating discussions and contributing to strategic planning to enhance project delivery. Drive financial performance by developing strategic plans that improve the operational output and revenue of the department. Challenge existing processes and inspire improvements in efficiency and strategy within the organization. Demonstrate thought leadership within the Patient Safety sector and increase the department's external brand recognition. Team Management Provide operational and strategic guidance to the Safety Project Leadership team. Mentor and support team members to develop effective patient engagement strategies that meet client needs. Identify skill gaps within the team and implement plans for knowledge enhancement across the organization. Hold teams accountable for achieving financial, operational, and corporate objectives. Oversee employee performance, including goal setting and evaluation. Metrics Management Facilitate the collection of team metrics and case studies to support the Patient Safety organization. Propose strategies and technologies to enhance productivity across the Patient Safety team. Client Engagement & Business Development Support business operations in proposal development and during the bid defense process. Act as the primary contact for strategic partnerships and key clients. Technical Expertise Provide guidance on all aspects of Safety Project Leadership and project management best practices. Quality Assurance and Compliance Ensure timely delivery of required deliverables to clients while adhering to budget constraints. Maintain quality and compliance standards in project execution, following SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Preferred Skills: Strong leadership and management capabilities. In-depth understanding of drug safety and the drug development process. Ability to interpret and apply global safety regulations. Experience with data analysis and safety report preparation is a plus. Excellent team leadership and delegation skills. Capability to mentor and train team members. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient time management and organizational skills. A client-focused approach. Experience with Pharmacovigilance systems is advantageous. Clinical Research or Pharmacovigilance knowledge or qualifications are preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications. Ability to navigate regulatory and client requests strategically. Flexibility for new assignments and learning opportunities. Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Commitment to teamwork within a matrix environment. Required Knowledge and Experience: A minimum of 13 years in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry, including experience in clinical operations and decentralized clinical trials. 7-10 years of management experience with project oversight. Education: BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with significant executive and/or senior management experience preferred in the clinical research, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors.
