Benefits: Competitive salary Flexible schedule Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our expanding team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in patients' homes, helping them enhance mobility, manage pain, and improve overall physical function. You will collaborate closely with a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to carry out tailored treatment plans, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are met. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Physical Therapist in executing customized treatment plans for patients, adhering to the specific guidelines established by the PT. Perform therapeutic exercises, utilize manual therapy techniques, and apply modalities as directed by the PT. Educate patients and their caregivers on home exercises, proper body mechanics, and strategies for maximizing functional independence. Monitor patient progress, document treatment outcomes, and communicate any alterations or concerns to the supervising PT. Ensure safe patient mobility by assisting with transfers, gait training, and other mobility-related interventions. Maintain precise, timely, and comprehensive documentation of patient care activities in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and physicians, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and ensure a clean and organized workspace. Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current state PTA license. CPR and First Aid certification. Previous experience in home health, outpatient, or hospital settings is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a home health setting. A compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to enhancing patients' quality of life. Reliable transportation for travel to various patient homes as required. Physical Requirements: Able to lift, move, and assist patients (with assistance when necessary). Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach as part of patient care. Comfortable working in varied home environments.
