Position: Clinical Dietitian Hours: 32 hours per week Schedule: Monday-Friday during normal business hours Compensation: $36.00-42.00 per hour, commensurate with experience Travel Reimbursement: Paid at the same hourly rate for time spent traveling to and from the facility. Your Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for new admissions and periodically thereafter, with increased frequency for high-risk residents. Develop, implement, and monitor tailored nutrition care plans. Provide important nutrition education and counseling as required. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team. Ensure adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations, including those set forth by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Health (DOH). Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation. Monitor resident weight changes weekly or monthly to detect possible changes in nutrition or hydration status. Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing nutrition care services and resident outcomes. Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits, document findings, and suggest corrective measures to uphold a safe and sanitary environment. Review and approve the menu every six months to ensure compliance with USDA guidelines. Perform additional tasks as assigned within your scope of practice. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution. Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Current state licensure/certification (if required by the state). Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (preferred). Excellent communication skills for effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Critical thinking abilities to assess situations, set objectives, and develop and implement effective improvement plans. Proficient in providing general nutrition interventions. Familiarity with state survey processes and compliance with nutrition care regulations. Competency in electronic charting systems.
