Join our dedicated team as a Home Therapy Registered Nurse, where you will provide vital patient training and support for individuals choosing home dialysis modalities. Your role will focus on delivering exceptional care and outstanding customer service, ensuring our patients feel empowered and informed about their treatment options. Exciting Opportunity: Candidates with prior experience in peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis may qualify for a signing bonus of up to $5,000 - inquire today! Patient Training: You will conduct training sessions for home hemo and peritoneal dialysis patients, both in-center and occasionally at the patient's home. Training Provided: We welcome those with backgrounds in in-center hemodialysis, critical care, and home health-comprehensive training will be provided. Work Schedule: Enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility based on patient needs. On-Call Compensation: Competitive pay for on-call duties when participating in the rotation. Holiday Schedule: Home Training Nurses typically have very few holiday assignments. Clinical Excellence: Join a leader in clinical quality improvement, recognized for achieving outstanding patient outcomes in the U.S. Home Dialysis Leader: Be part of a team that leads the industry in home dialysis treatment, with a significant percentage of therapies conducted at home. Key Responsibilities: Stay compliant with federal, state, and local regulations related to home dialysis and patient care. Train patients and/or their care partners in self-care for peritoneal and hemodialysis, meeting all regulatory qualifications. Conduct home visits to evaluate the patient's environment and performance, adjusting care as necessary. Document all interactions in the Electronic Medical Record to ensure continuity of patient care. Participate in infection control monitoring and communicate emergency procedures effectively with patients. Manage clinic and patient inventory for supplies, ensuring timely ordering to avoid penalties. Track and analyze patient outcomes to continuously improve quality of care. Perform routine lab tests, communicate critical results promptly to the relevant physician. Administer prescribed medications and perform on-call nursing services as needed. Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility in staffing locations as required. Requirements: Active RN license in the relevant state, in good standing. At least 12 months of nursing experience and 3 months in the home dialysis modality, or 6 months in states with stricter requirements. Previous experience with maintenance dialysis preferred. CPR certification prior to direct patient care. Confirmation of color vision abilities. Completion of the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation and annual competency evaluations. Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn USRC clinical applications within 90 days. Meet any additional state practice requirements. Complete background clearances and orientation as applicable.
