About the job Plasma Cutter The Plasma Cutter Operator is responsible for the operating cutting machines. Requirements: Primarily use plasma cutting equipment to cut pipes. Grind galvanized and black pipes as needed to remove paint or coating, ensuring a clean area for welding. Prepare and assemble piping systems used in fire sprinkler installations. Accurately read and use a measuring tape to ensure precise cuts and assembly. Identify labels on pipes and cut them accordingly to match specifications. Recognize different types of pipes and ensure correct cutting and assembly. Qualifications: 2+ Years with manual plasma cutting machines and their operation. Capability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to plasma cutting Able to pass a background check of 7 years. Must be bi-lingual. Experience Proven experience as a Welder with proficiency in Stick welding, soldering, and Plasma cutting techniques. Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding practices. Experience operating cranes and rigging equipment is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. A commitment to safety practices in the workplace is essential.
