Salary: $22.08 - $25.56 Hourly Location : La Verne, CA Job Type: Part-Time Job Number: 26-9 Department: Parks & Recreation Part-Time Opening Date: 03/02/2026 Closing Date: 3/19/2026 12:00 PM Pacific Description Assistant Pool Manager - Parks & Recreation Part -time Seasonal Employee PAY RATE: $22.08-$25.56 Hourly Up to 28 hours per week depending on assignment - Monday through Sunday (hours of 6:30 AM - 8:00 PM) FILING DEADLINE: Noon on Thursday, March 19, 2026 American Red Cross CPR/AED/Basic first Aid Certificate, Advanced Lifesaving (Lifeguarding) Certificate MUST have knowledge of principles and practices employed in the field of aquatics; knowledge of the principles of organizing and directing aquatics activities; supervisory and leadership skills required to supervise subordinates effectively; ability to organize and present written and oral reports; and ability to work effectively with supervisors and the public. MUST have a minimum of two years' experience as a Water Safety Instructor. Under direction of the Parks & Recreation Supervisor, the Assistant Pool Manger is responsible for the complete operation of the swimming pool. Responsibilities include accountability for all monies, personnel scheduling and supervision, class scheduling, record keeping, and enforcement of the pool rules and regulations. The City reserves the right to select applicants for further consideration who demonstrate the best qualifications. Those applicants who closely match the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in the examination process, which may include a combination of written exercise, panel interview, or other testing deemed appropriate.
