As a MyEyeDr. Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO), you will be crucial in analyzing prescriptions and providing the highest quality vision care to our patients. In this role, you will fit, measure, and adjust eyeglasses while working diligently to ensure patient satisfaction and resolving any vision care issues. You will oversee all prescriptions in the office, ensuring accuracy and excellence. You Will Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding and addressing patients' needs. Guide patients in selecting eyewear and lenses, using your extensive knowledge to educate them on options. Engage with patients to assess their vision problems and offer tailored solutions. Ensure oversight of all prescriptions within the office. Drive sales results through effective promotion of company products and services. Maximize insurance plan benefits for patients and clearly explain their coverage options. Understand company costs and retail pricing to retain cost-conscious patients. Focus on Key Patient Indicators to ensure high-quality service. Educate patients on acclimating to new prescriptions and lens care. Utilize technical aids like pupillometers and PD rulers for accurate fit and measurements. Commit to timely delivery and turnaround, promptly notifying patients of any delays. Stay informed about company promotions and third-party programs. Conduct follow-up calls to patients who received their eyewear recently. Use a lensometer to verify and inspect eyewear. Notify patients when their eyeglasses are ready for pickup. Fit and adjust eyewear to ensure the best possible fit. Maintain accuracy of product pricing. Monitor jobs awaiting pick-up and inform management of delays. Keep displays clean and well-merchandised. Handle returns appropriately. Conduct preliminary tests for patients as needed. Correctly process patient payment transactions. Contribute to the overall attractiveness of the office environment. Attend all office meetings and participation in training opportunities. Handle additional duties as assigned. About You State Board Certified Licensed Dispensing Optician required. AA or BA/BS in a related field preferred. 2-5 years of relevant experience in an optical setting. Proven success in addressing diverse customer needs in a retail environment. Strong understanding of optical and lens-related issues. Ability to manage and interpret multiple prescriptions effectively. Strong relationship-building skills to foster patient loyalty. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in a fast-paced environment. Strong multi-tasking abilities and a focus on meeting deadlines.
