The Role We are in search of a dynamic and skilled Senior Software Development Lead to enhance our expanding team. This role focuses on the creation of AI applications and agents utilizing Python and deploying to cloud-native platforms. You’ll be a hands-on leader, demonstrating your expertise through writing clean, efficient code and designing robust APIs and microservices that underpin our key platforms. We seek candidates who are passionate about software engineering and bring experience in Generative AI. Location This is a Work From Home position available for candidates located in the U.S. Please note: you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card holder to be considered for this position. Main Responsibilities Design and implement complex software systems using Python, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments. Architect and develop robust APIs, microservices, and data pipelines to support various applications and services. Collaborate with business partners, architects, and engineering teams to clarify technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions. Promote technical excellence by encouraging clean code, test-driven development, and CI/CD best practices. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain adherence to coding standards and architectural principles. Identify and implement opportunities for performance optimization and operational efficiency within cloud infrastructure. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, Python, DevOps, and AI, advocating for their adoption when suitable. Candidate Requirements Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of professional software development experience. Expertise in Python with a strong history of building and deploying production-grade applications. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including serverless computing, Docker/Kubernetes, relational and NoSQL databases, and messaging queues. Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting). Understanding of agile development methodologies and team collaboration. Preferred Familiarity with developing AI applications using frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, and Semantic Kernel) and utilizing RAG pipelines and vector datastores (Pinecone, Azure AI Search). Experience in developing agents with industry-standard frameworks and protocols like A2A, and proficient in using MCP servers and tools. Proficiency in effective prompt engineering strategies. Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures. Compensation This information provides the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary by location, with individual pay based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Location-Based Pay Ranges $103,711 - $138,281 in various states. $108,896 - $145,195 in specific states. $114,082 - $152,109 in major states.
