Commerical Plumbing Estimator

We are a mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This role is responsible for developing accurate and competitive plumbing estimates and managing assigned bids from takeoff through submission. This position focuses primarily on commercial plumbing scopes. About the Role The Commercial Plumbing Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed estimates, coordinating pricing, and supporting the bidding process for commercial construction projects. This role works primarily within the estimating department and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously. Responsibilities Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial plumbing and medical gas systems. Review drawings, specifications, and addenda. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Develop complete and accurate estimates and bid packages. Coordinate scope of work and clarify bid requirements. Manage assigned bids from takeoff through estimate completion. Maintain confidentiality of bid information. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commercial plumbing estimating. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency with various estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience with estimating schematic and conceptual concepts with the ability to complete such designs . Experience with plumbing and medical gas code requirements. Field experience in plumbing and medical gas. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Detail-oriented and highly organized.
