Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant specializing in nephrology during night shifts. This role involves providing essential patient care, observing and reporting any changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked patient environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment. Respond promptly to patient needs, either through direct assistance or by notifying appropriate staff. Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks. Ensure patient safety by properly using equipment and supplies. Manage medication and supply rooms to retrieve necessary patient care items. Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging. Engage in educational and performance improvement activities. Perform additional skills such as phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG, and waived lab testing as per unit competency. Education and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant credential required. Current registration as Nursing Assistant II with the state nursing board and Nursing Assistant I with the Division of Facility Services. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Experience and Skills Previous experience as Nursing Assistant I preferred. Strong guest relations and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and understand English. Flexibility in work tasks and schedules. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques. Basic knowledge of age-specific patient care considerations. Basic computer proficiency. Physical Requirements Ability to work variable shifts, including nights. Capability to turn and lift patients safely. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions. Exposure to blood and body fluids with appropriate precautions.
