Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Medical/Surgical unit, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery. Manage day-to-day operations of the Medical/Surgical Unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards related to medical and surgical care services. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize medical/surgical care services. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) is preferred. Why work with us?
