Summary: The Field Service Technician II - Solar BESS will support senior technicians in operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities. This role involves performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on essential on-site assets like solar panels, trackers, and power inverters. Key Responsibilities: Takes direction from senior site personnel and sets a positive example for junior technicians. Troubleshoots low and medium voltage AC and DC power systems. Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems and effectively uses hand tools. Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), maintains inventory of spare parts, and follows each site's safety plan. Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures. Interacts professionally with project stakeholders, owners, and subcontractors, representing RES well. Operates company vehicles in compliance with state, federal laws, and RES policies. Maintains punctual attendance and complies with the Employee Handbook and Company Policies. Fosters a safety-oriented culture and leads by example. Safety: Follows safety procedures, ensuring that safety remains the top priority. Reinforces safe behaviors and actively reports unsafe conditions. Conducts Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) prior to commencing work. Receives necessary training specific to tasks before starting work. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; related technical degree preferred. OSHA 10/30 certification and FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot certification preferred. 3+ years of related maintenance experience. Basic knowledge of electrical power systems, circuit theory, and OSHA regulations. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with electrical tools (multimeter, IR camera) and SCADA systems. Ability to travel domestically 76-100% of the time; valid driver's license required. Candidate should live within 60 miles of a major airport, preferably Denver, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, or Atlanta. Compensation: Anticipated base salary range: $28.09 - $35.11, depending on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance. Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of physical activity and the ability to work in varying environmental conditions. Rare physical demands: Climbing, Crouching, Kneeling, and Pulling/Pushing 5-15 lbs. Occasional lifting of 5-15 lbs. and the need to walk.
