Position Summary: As the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), you will play a vital role in leading and overseeing the daily operations of a Taco Bell unit. You will be responsible for ensuring that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining exemplary standards in cleanliness, hospitality, and product quality. This position involves hands-on engagement in training employees, responding to customer needs, and modeling the skills and behaviors expected in our restaurant environment. Your Key Responsibilities: Effectively manage cost categories, including food, labor, and controllable expenses, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and budgetary expectations. Drive positive sales growth by focusing on key metrics: 5 Bells, CORE, speed of service, and food quality improvements. Maintain appropriate staffing levels across all shifts to meet operational demands. Conduct performance appraisals for crew members, shift managers, and assistant general managers. Oversee the recruitment and hiring process for new team members, ensuring the selection of the best candidates. Provide coaching and development opportunities for all restaurant staff to ensure they meet performance standards and certification levels. Uphold restaurant cleanliness and organization by adhering to all food sanitation guidelines and regulations. Ensure compliance with all employment-related local, state, and federal laws. Verify that the restaurant environment is safe for employees and guests and take necessary action when issues arise. Supervise preventative maintenance of restaurant equipment and facilities, reporting any required repairs promptly. Deliver exceptional customer service during all shifts, addressing and resolving guest complaints effectively to encourage repeat business. Provide timely and relevant feedback to your area coach regarding operational results through daily check-ins and weekly meetings. Assist in food preparation as necessary, ensuring quality and training purposes, while managing cash register operations as needed. Success Metrics: Performance benchmarks in sales, labor, cash, and controllable expenses on a weekly and periodic basis. Results from 5 Bells, CORE, PRCs, and food safety audits. Outcomes related to staffing, turnover percentage, and overall unit performance. Weekly management hours and key operational metrics, including net sales growth and compliance with fiscal plans. Qualifications: Minimum age of 18 years. Preference for internal promotions from the Assistant General Manager position with completed training. High school diploma or GED is required; Undergraduate degree preferred. At least 6 months of supervisory experience in a service-related business. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Flexible availability to work varied hours as required. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Strong skills in planning, organization, and follow-up. Able to make effective decisions and resolve conflicts. A passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting and adaptability to change. A commitment to team development and personal growth.
