As a Junior Transmission and Distribution Designer, you will play a key role in designing high-powered substations using industry-leading software such as MicroStation, Revit, and AutoCAD. Key Responsibilities: Assist in computer-aided design (CAD) operations, focusing on plan production and entry-level design tasks under moderate supervision. Create detailed drawings for utility transmission and substation projects utilizing MicroStation, Revit, or AutoCAD. Support the development and modification of plan sheets, layouts, and design models. Help update project specifications, perform design calculations, and assess material requirements. Work closely with engineers and senior designers to ensure project accuracy and efficiency. Conduct engineering support tasks such as data gathering, file maintenance, and documenting design changes. Participate in client meetings and site visits to understand project requirements and feasibility. Qualifications: You are passionate about: Collaborating effectively with team members. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail. Preferred: Associate degree in a relevant field. 3+ years of experience with design software like MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Strong capacity for teamwork and effective communication of technical concepts. Experience in substation or utility transmission design is a plus but not required.
