Assess and monitor patients' health status before, during, and after treatment. Administer prescribed dialysis treatments, medications, and fluid therapy as directed by physicians. Educate patients and their families on dialysis processes, medications, and dietary guidelines. Operate and ensure proper maintenance of dialysis equipment, adhering to all sterilization protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create tailored care plans for each patient. Document patient care and treatment outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR). Respond promptly to any adverse reactions or complications during treatment. Maintain high standards of infection control and safety in the treatment environment. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients living with chronic kidney disease. Train and mentor new nursing staff or dialysis technicians when necessary. Engage in quality improvement initiatives while complying with all relevant state and federal regulations regarding dialysis care. Job Requirements Must have at least 1 year of recent experience as a dialysis nurse. Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Hold a current state-specific RN license in good standing or a compact state RN license in good standing. BLS certification is required (for both chronic and acute settings). ACLS certification is required (for acute settings only).
