Your sessions will implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques in both intensive and natural environments. Your role encompasses delivering engaging Verbal Behavior Therapy (VBT) with a focus on fostering skill development in a supportive and organized therapy setting. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieve an 80% competency score within the first 90 days of your employment. Conduct meaningful 1:1 and 2:1 therapy sessions aimed at enhancing clients' mental and physical well-being. Training will cover vital areas including self-help skills, language development, behavior control, community living, safety, social skills, and motor development. Session lengths may be up to four hours per client. Utilize Central Reach to meticulously document clients’ participation, reactions, and progress throughout therapy sessions. Ensure timely submission of accurate documentation to the clients' care team. Implement individualized treatment and behavior plans while maintaining high integrity in delivery to meet each client’s unique needs. Model positive behavior management techniques that encourage clients to develop new skills and engage in activities. Prepare necessary therapy materials and set up for client sessions to ensure a smooth experience. Assist clients with daily routine tasks, which may include toilet training and feeding. Communicate professionally with clients' family members, providing relevant information as needed. Gather and assess information from medical records, staff, families, and clients to tailor your approach effectively. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment throughout the day. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to meet the diverse needs of clients, families, and the agency. Engage proactively in staff and client meetings, implementing feedback for continuous improvement. Participate in outreach events to represent Autism Matters in the community.
