About the Role: As an Account Executive within Confluent's Sales Team, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales of our solutions to the Digital Native & Emerging Markets sector. Utilize your prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to effectively promote Confluent’s offerings and consistently exceed quarterly sales targets. A mindset geared towards consumption and growth, along with a solid track record of achieving success in a value-driven sales environment, is a must. What You Will Do: Drive revenue growth within large, complex, and high-visibility accounts. Proactively identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities while fostering growth within existing customer accounts. Lead the execution of strategic sales cycles by showcasing the value of Confluent to C-Level stakeholders. Become a subject matter expert on Confluent's products and the competitive landscape. Understand customer strategies and business goals to establish trust and become a valuable advisor. Collaborate with partner ecosystem teams for effective sales strategies. Work closely with Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success Management teams to ensure client satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities. What You Will Bring: 8+ years of experience in quota-carrying sales roles, focusing on account consumption growth. Experience in Big Data, Consumption, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions. Familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger). Ability to lead complex sales strategies to drive revenue growth. Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets and quotas. Expertise in articulating, educating, and selling business value across various company sizes. Proven track record in developing and enhancing processes while managing organizational changes. Exceptional relationship-building, customer relations, and negotiation skills. Willingness to travel to customer locations as required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
