Job Description

Join our team as a PET/CT Imaging Technologist where your excellent communication skills will make a meaningful impact on patient care. You will play a vital role in guiding patients through their procedures, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed. With a focus on patient safety and comfort, you will manage all aspects of imaging, producing high-quality PET/CT images that allow physicians to make accurate diagnoses. Key Responsibilities: Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for contraindications and adhering to radiation safety regulations. Produce exceptional diagnostic images to support patient evaluations. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to provide clear explanations. Train new technologists, sharing your expertise to enhance team capabilities. Troubleshoot and maintain the scanner and ancillary equipment to ensure optimal performance. Position Requirements: High school diploma required; Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred. Certification in Nuclear Medicine from the NMTCB or ARRT (N) is necessary. Current state license as required. CPR certification is mandatory. Possession of a valid state driver's license as applicable. 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures preferred. Flexibility to work across multiple locations. Strong customer service orientation and organizational skills. Basic proficiency with computer applications. Local travel may be necessary. COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment. All candidates accepting an employment offer will complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Physical Requirements: This position may involve exposure to outside weather conditions during patient transport in mobile units, as well as to radioactive materials and ionizing radiation. More than 50% of the time: Sit, stand, walk. Engage in repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements. See, speak, and hear for effective patient communication. Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel, or crawl. Climb and balance. Lift and carry non-ambulatory patients when necessary. The compensation for this role ranges from $65.59 to $85.27 per hour, reflecting individual experience, skills, and contributions.
