Competitive Pay Average earnings of $1,200 per week / $62,400 per year Starting pay of $30 per hour Annual pay raises based on contract anniversary 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime Overtime pay at $45 per hour Enjoy Your Weekends with a Great Schedule! Home daily for a better work-life balance Monday to Friday work schedule, with no weekend commitments Working hours from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Average workday of 8 hours Job Duties Shuttling loaded trailers to the Averitt yard from the Boise yard Moving an average of 8 loaded trailers per night Occasional load tarping in inclement weather Equipment and Load Types Hauling 53' trailers: Flatbed, Curtainside, or Conestoga Start each day ready to go with pre-loaded trailers No touch freight for ease of logistics Strapping required for each load (straps provided) Tarping is only necessary in bad weather conditions Safety and Equipment Requirements Hard hats and vests are provided and must be worn outside the truck on property Steel toe shoes are required (driver must purchase) CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Driver Benefits: Paid time off, including 8 paid holidays Comprehensive health insurance options: Medical, dental, vision, and hearing coverage starting as low as $40.20/week (individual) and $105.90/week (family) after 30 days Profit sharing: Monthly contributions into your retirement account Referral rewards: Bonuses for introducing new drivers Career advancement: Opportunities for local, regional, and leadership roles within Averitt Requirements: Must reside within 75 miles of the work location 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years Must possess a valid Class A CDL Minimum age of 21 years old No reckless driving convictions in the last 5 years No DUI or DWI convictions in the last 5 years No moving violations suspensions or revocations in the last 5 years No serious moving violations within the last 12 months No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years This role involves physical duties including lifting freight (up to 80 lbs.), moving freight (up to 54 lbs. of force), and safely securing loads.
