Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time, with occasional weekend travel required, working at various landfill and operating sites. As a Traveling Heavy Equipment Operator at WM, you will work at one of our landfill or recycling facilities that serve over 20 million customers across the USA. Your role will involve operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders. Your expertise is crucial to our operations, and your work will be recognized and appreciated. Your Primary Responsibilities Include: Using heavy equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, while keeping accurate records. Moving and positioning raw materials and finished products with material moving equipment. Following established guidelines for operating and maintaining vehicles. Assisting with additional tasks as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience. Must be over 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Able to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Here are key details about the physical requirements, risks, and environment: Motor coordination with finger dexterity is essential throughout the workday. Occasional exertion of physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds. Rare exposure to occupational risks (cuts, burns, toxic chemicals). Regular exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. Work settings include landfills, recycling facilities, or other operational sites in the Upper Midwest (ND, SD, MN, WI, MI, IA). The expected pay for this on-site position ranges from $30.31 to $45.49 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
