In this pivotal role, you will lead the design and execution of complex substation projects that are crucial for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of power systems. What You'll Do: Lead diverse and impactful projects in power systems, facility design, and renewable energy initiatives. Manage the complete project lifecycle, from initial concept design through regulatory compliance to delivery. Develop expertise in areas such as power studies, electrical calculations, lighting design, and communication systems. Contribute to the field through white papers, technical publications, and participation in industry conferences. Collaborate with sales teams and clients to craft proposals and deliver innovative engineering solutions. Enhance client relationships as the primary point of contact, fostering trust and collaboration. Mentor and supervise junior engineers, contributing to their professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related discipline. A Professional Engineering (PE) license is required. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience is necessary. Some travel may be required depending on project demands. Additively, directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Skills: Experience with substation engineering and detailed design for high-voltage projects up to 345kV. In-depth knowledge of protective relay schemes, relay schematics, and wiring diagrams. Ability to develop equipment specifications and selection criteria for substation projects. Familiarity with hardware specifications, including SCADA/RTU components. Strong understanding of NESC and NEC codes.
